I worked on the first version of how hashtags and @mentions are working for Chatter. I worked on the behavior for how to create hashtags and @mentions, how type-ahead is working and the display behavior. I went through 2 rounds of usability testing and based on the results created the UI specs.

Prototype: Hashtags and @mentions click-through

I worked on the first version of the Recommendations widgets for Chatter within Salesforce. These 2 widgets appear on the Chatter tab in the sidebar and are displaying recommendations of people to follow and groups to join to the user. I created wireframes and prototyped it.

I’ve been on the Chatter Desktop team almost since I joined Salesforce.com. 2 years later we’re on the third major release. Chatter Desktop enables users to use a Desktop client to access Salesforce Chatter.

…Chatter.com—a free, private and secure social network just for your business. With Chatter.com you can connect with your coworkers to work together and be more productive. Updates on the people, projects, and files that you care about most are automatically pushed to you, so you always know what’s going on.

The first version of the Desktop supported simple feed browsing, posting and commenting, following people and joining groups. One major feature of Desktop are toaster notifications, which enable users to stay on top of their feed. With version 2 we did a major UI and visual revamp which was received very positively by our users. We also added the ability to follow records and changed the feed structure quite a bit to make it more accessible.
Version 3 is adding Customer groups and private messaging to the app.

Worked on a mobile web chatter version for phones that never got released. Developed wireframes for all main chatter functionality to work as a mobile website on smart phones, targeting iphone and android phones. Built a prototype using HTML, CSS and jquery and went through testing.

Prototype (HTML) *Works best in Firefox, or on iphone/Android. Mostly the first 2 items are enabled and can be clicked/tapped. The prototype allows for one post (hard coded) on the Chatter feed.

Native Android app for Chatter. Researched and explored Android patterns, prepared a presentation to compare Android and iPhone patterns. Based on these explorations I designed the Chatter Android app. Prototyped in HTML and tested it.

Overview
HindSight is a concept for experiencing the sixth floor of the Mattress Factory in the future, without the collector’s (Barbara Luderowski and Michael Olyjnik) presence. This concept requires the space to stay as it is and for the sixth floor to be added as a permanent exhibition. Our intention is to preserve the experience by allowing visitors to navigate the space in any order and presenting them with Barbara and Michael’s stories. These stories bring the collection together, and their stories of pursuit are the core behind what has been acquired.

Wearing wirelessly connected glasses and headphones, a visitor can see and hear stories about the artifacts in front of them. We outline a proposal of this experience and the technologies that are capable of bringing this concept to fruition.

Overview
Studio Project, team of 5, given topic was learning in context. Target was the concept development for a chosen context in regards of learning in context. My team chose the topic ‘grocery shopping’. We went through the complete design process, starting with defining our target audience, conducting exploratory research, generative research, and evaluative research. Used technologies and methods included user shadowing, interviews, journals, paper prototyping and testing.
